The Regional Nonprofit Alliance recently matched four area agencies with teams of Ohio University graduate students to work on capacity building projects over the 2008-09 academic year. The public administration students will work with faculty and staff, assisting the agencies to expand an existing program, improve internal systems or clarify their vision for the future.
"I think this will be a valuable experience," says JaNelle Ricks, MPA Student. "We will get to see some of the amazing work going on in the community while putting to practice what we are learning in class."
Participating agencies include Wood County Habitat for Humanity, Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, Wood County Senior Citizens Association, and Passion Works Studio.
