The Ohio
SBDC at Ohio University is hosted by the Voinovich School and provides a full
range of business consulting services for existing and new small businesses.
Services are provided in one-on-one counseling sessions and group seminars.
Among some of the services are business plan development, market research and
training, recordkeeping assistance, and resource referrals.
If your business has less than 500 employees or
$10,000,000 in revenues, you are eligible for the free- and low-cost assistance
of the Small Business Development Centers of South East Ohio.

- Snowville Creamery

It
began with drawings – hundreds and hundreds, most of which were crumpled into
balls.
Since then, design has become a reality for Snowville Creamery, whose dairy products are carried in 70 stores across Ohio,
Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
Snowville’s mission is to create “milk the way it used to be,” with pasture-fed
cows, minimal pasteurization and sustainable farming practices. On the Pomeroy
farm, milk from Guernsey, Jersey, Holstein and Brown Swiss cows is collected
and packaged the same day – it is sent to local grocers 12-48 hours after being
cartoned. Snowville carries whole, reduced fat and fat free milk, along with

- Technology to Improve Road Maintenance

Dr. Sang-soo Kim, an associate professor of civil engineering in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University (OU), has devoted much of his work to developing technologies that improves road maintenance to maximize quality and reduce repair costs.With the assistance of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at OU’s Voinovich School, Dr. Kim and his company EZ Asphalt Technologies, LLC (EZ Asphalt) have been working to make sure drivers don’t have to worry about when they will hit another pothole.
