The Voinovich School assists with survey research including instrument design, instrument implementation, data collection and data analysis. Projects include public opinion surveys, impact measurement, needs assessments and consumer satisfaction.

Ohio E-Check Customer Satisfaction Survey

Since 2005, the Voinovich School has annually conducted a large-scale customer satisfaction mail survey for the Ohio E-Check Vehicle Emissions Testing Program. E-Check testing identifies vehicles that emit excessive levels of pollutants into the air and, as such, is an important component of Ohio EPA’s efforts to reduce ground level ozone. The School is posed to conduct the latest phase of this study beginning in summer, 2008.

Economic Impact of Health Care in Rural Ohio in 2006
Voinovich School is assessing the direct and indirect income and employment contributions of the health care sector to the local economies of 79 Ohio rural counties, Ohio Appalachia, all other rural counties, and rural Ohio as a whole. Initial results obtained through economic impact modeling will be adjusted using other data sources and staff expertise in rural health care services. Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver: Pilot Program Evaluation
The play, Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver, is being used in a pilot program to teach medical professionals to deal with the difficult issues surrounding caring for the terminally ill. Voinovich School staff are evaluating the program's effectiveness.

Southeastern Ohio Legal Services Needs Assessment

Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (SEOLS) provides non criminal legal assistance to low income residents in 37 southeast and central Ohio counties. SEOLS asked the Voinovich School to assist with a needs assessment to better identify the legal needs of individuals in SEOLS’ service area and to aid in the strategic development of plans to meet those needs.
